It’s hard to escape Star Wars these days. Everywhere you turn, you’ll find some semblance of Star Wars, even on cereal boxes in supermarkets.

The latest to join this inter-galactic craze is Singapore Changi Airport.

The world’s best airport has a special treat for Star Wars fans in Singapore. Every year end, Changi Airport puts up an elaborate festive display in one of its terminals and this year, they’ve struck gold with the iconic series, especially with Star Wars: The Force Awakens opening next month.

From now until 5 Jan 2016, folks living in Singapore can head to the airport and gawk at a life-sized X-Wing docked at its newest terminal- Terminal 3, and a TIE Fighter guarded by Imperial Strormtroopers over at Terminal 2.

That’s not all. Fans can pretend to be part of the Rebel Alliance, and actually step into the cockpit for a photo opportunity, taken by a professional photographer. There are even costumes on hand for you to wear. You can dress up as X-Wing fighter pilots or light-saber wielding Jedi. You can even collect a printed copy of your best pose, for absolutely no charge. The only thing to take note here is timing. The photo-taking happens at selected times every day (10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm, 7pm-9pm, and 4pm -6pm except Saturdays), just grab a ticket number and wait in line.

Apart from these two displays that will make fans go weak in their knees, there would also be appearances by Star Wars characters, including weekly greetings by X-wing fighter pilots and Imperial Stormtroopers every Saturday. If you can’t get enough of Star Wars before Force Awakens arrives, you know where to go.

Here are some shots of the displays:

If you’re living in Singapore and worship Star Wars, you’d be crazy not to visit. And if you’re in Singapore on a holiday during the festive period, remember, the X-Wing is in Terminal 3 while the TIE Fighter rests in Terminal 2. It’s easy to get around the terminals, and there are ample signs dotted about for painless navigation.
